ESD Master Series: Effective Writing Techniques for Engineering and Technical Professionals 2012
Engineering Society of Detroit

Often a challenge faced by all of us is the ability to take our ideas and effectively put them into words. For engineering and technical professionals trained in communication based upon concepts, drawings, formulas and calculations, the written word is often viewed at best with fear and at worst as inefficient and unnecessary.

Unfortunately, written communications regarding today’s complex technical and scientific matters are a necessity. Our workshop will provide you with the tools to translate your ideas and concepts into narratives that can be quickly and accurately understood by non-technical professionals within and outside your organization. Armed with these skills will boost your career and provide greater benefit to those relying on your expertise.

Created and led by ESD Institute Director Christopher J. Webb
