Dan Gilbert's Bizdom seeks applications from entrepreneurs who want ideas to become reality
Bizdom is accepting applications for its summer business accelerator session, a three-month program that funds aspiring entrepreneurs and provides them work space and business coaching.
Upon completion of the application and acceptance into the program, Bizdom will provide $25,000 in seed funding in exchange for an 8 percent stake in any company that results.
The spring session had about 100 applications, with nine being accepted into the program and four businesses eventually being formed.
The deadline for applying is 11:59 p.m. June 15. At the end of the three-month program, entrepreneurs will pitch their products or services to potential investors for the funding needed for commercialization.
Bizdom was formed in 2007 by Dan Gilbert, chairman of Detroit-based Rock Ventures LLC and Quicken Loans Inc. It is housed in the Madison Building, one of the buildings Gilbert has purchased downtown.
