Expo will look at film industry opportunities

CBS Radio Detroit presents the “Michigan Makes Movies Expo” 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 12 at the Rock Financial Showplace.

The event will include a portion in which attendees can meet and receive information from a variety of professionals and companies involved in Michigan’s film industry.

There will be more than 30 sessions throughout the day that will include topics such as “How do I become an extra?” and “How do I get my child into films?” as well as cinematography, TV and film production, indie films, script writing and becoming a crew member. Hear from casting directors, receive acting lessons from Hollywood character actor David Dean Bottrell and more.
